I studied the Inbetweeners film on how a marketing campaign can be done. Above is an example of what can be made in order to promote a film and to grab people's attention, by placing posters of the film around towns, bus stands, benches, billboards, etc. All these things will get people to look into the film more and maybe read into the film. They also release teaser trailers and full length trailers, all these will be broadcasted at a certain time in order to get the audience that they want to be watching this so they will not put a film that is certificate 18 on at 3 in the afternoon on a child's channel they or more likely to put it on a channel that has got quite a lot of programs suitable for 18's and over and after 9 o'clock.
On its release date The Inbetweeners movie made more than 2.5 million in 409 cinemas, The film also broke the UK's comedy box office record, overtaking the record previously held by Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason after taking £13.2m in its opening weekend.
The inbetweeners also made guest star appearances on shows like alan carr's chatty man in order to promote the film, and again this film was broadcasted at a time suitable to get the audience that they want to watch the film that they think will enjoy this film. The inbetweeners was one of the most anticipated films of 2011 and had everyone talking after having successfully having 3 series. The producers were very clever when promoting the film as they used the same colours and fonts on the poster as they would have in the trailer, which shows continuity to the audience and then makes them know what this film.
